What is the McPherson preaching institute?

The McPherson Preaching Institute exists to train Pentecostal preachers who are culturally relevant, theologically sound, and innovative, while fostering an intercultural, intergenerational, and interdenominational community that equips men and women to engage diverse audiences with authenticity.

Named in honor of Pentecostal pioneer Aimee Semple McPherson, the Institute reflects a broad, evangelistic vision of Pentecostal preaching that transcends denominational boundaries. Established through a Lilly Endowment Compelling Preaching Initiative grant, MPI advances Life Pacific University’s long-standing mission to equip Spirit-filled leaders by cultivating compelling preaching through community, digital resources, and an annual preaching conference.

THE THREE C’S OF MPI

MPI provided a subscription-based digital content hub for preachers. It will host a variety of resources, including articles from pastors and scholars, video teachings, podcasts, and interviews, all aimed at inspiring and empowering preachers to refine their craft.

MPI will foster personal and spiritual growth among current and aspiring preachers by facilitating mentorship connections. Our online toolkit will offer courses, forums, and opportunities to network with fellow members, culminating in the chance to meet in person at the MPI Preaching Conference.
